Vancouver police are warning the public about a convicted sex offender who will be residing in the community.

Howard Geddes Skelding, 28, has been released from prison following a two-year sentence for sexual assault and indecent acts, the VPD said in a news release. Police believe that Skelding is a high risk to reoffend.

Skelding is described as 5’8”, 160 pounds, with short black hair, brown eyes and a scar above his right eye.

Skelding will be on probation for three years, during which time he cannot possess weapons, or consume alcohol and non-prescription drugs.

Anyone who witnesses Skelding in violation of these conditions is asked to call police.
